The curriculum at Sainik School is designed to nurture academic excellence, leadership qualities, discipline, and character building. It has two strong components:

Academic Curriculum

  • The school follows the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) curriculum.
  • Focus on STEM subjects, Languages, Humanities, and Commerce streams (as applicable).
  • Learning is strengthened through modern laboratories, smart classrooms, and classroom libraries.

Academic Plus Curriculum (Sainik School Society)

In addition to CBSE academics, cadets undergo specialized programmes that make them stand apart:

  • Value Education – Instilling patriotism, integrity, discipline, and teamwork.
  • Skill Education – Training in First Aid and Basic Fire Fighting for preparedness and resilience.
  • Field Visits (Monthly) – Exposure trips to historical places, defence establishments, industries, and scientific institutions.
  • Motivational Talks – Sessions by defence personnel, achievers, and experts to inspire cadets.
  • Extracurricular Activities – Both individual (debates, essay writing, painting, solo singing, etc.) and group activities (drama, quiz, group songs, project work, etc.).
  • Assembly Activities – Daily speeches by cadets, group discussions, and thought-sharing to build confidence and communication skills.

Holistic Development

The curriculum is a blend of academics, physical fitness, military orientation, cultural exposure, and personal growth. Every cadet is encouraged to excel not only in studies but also in sports, leadership, co-curricular and life skills, preparing them for future challenges and responsibilities.
